  1. NBA teams:

    1. Golden State Warriors - The Bay Area is home to the 5-time NBA Championship Golden State Warriors. You can catch games at the brand-new Chase Center in SF, but you’ll have to pay an arm and a leg to get a seat (even a shitty one). Most bars will broadcast games, which can be fun to watch with friends (and much cheaper than going to a game). Paul Connor, one of the graduate students in SP, also hosts a fantasy basketball league. Fun way to talk smack and get into NBA basketball.

    2. Sacramento Kings - The next closest team to the Bay Area, about an hour’s drive from Berkeley. The Kings aren’t very good, but their games are much cheaper to attend, so if you want to make the trek to watch a live game, this may be a good option.
